MIRAAGE, Kentucky Hip Hop wordssmith

About MIRAAGE:
Lexington, KY native, lyricist, and Hip-Hop mogul MIRAAGE; originally came onto the scene with his 2014 release “Donuts & Coffee”, which was an album celebrating the life and work of legendary producer J-Dilla. The project was well received by the Hip-Hop community and was highly acclaimed by Dillas’ mother “Ma Dukes”. Born Ian Rosser, MIRAAGE combines Nas-Like storytelling and witty metaphors similar to Kendrick Lamar and Lupe Fiasco to form his intricate delivery.

Radio Host Arlis Ann Review of MIRAAGE's New Album "ODD".

"This album is a fresh and different kind of hip-hop with lots of interesting layers.   There are several beats reminiscent of R&B.   Miraage takes his listeners into a world of story telling if you’re wanting more than just dope music."

Deeper Than Music REviews aday's "SubRosa" Album

Aday is one of those artists who paint a vivid picture of himself good or bad allowing himself to be vulnerable in his music. His wordplay is very sharp, if you appreciate lyrics and wordplay you will appreciate his pen game.  Aday has a gift of creating vivid visualization through his words, easily bringing you into his world.  Aday touches on heavy topics as well, main themes of this album are struggles Aday faces and how drinking helps him cope.  Track “Poison” is a standout track that speaks to this.  Most of the album mid-tempo and the cadence for the most part remain constant. The album is very reflective and introspective where Aday gives you a representation of himself good and bad.

The Production isn’t cookie cutter and displays variety.   The album’s production has elements of country, funk, rock, lounge and hip hop. This album reminds me of Kid Cuddi’s first album “Man On The Moon” and  Aday starts out the album with two standout songs to set the tone.

Revolver – wild west vibe. Nice wordplay  Clever analogy of a revolver and taking six shots.   Good opening song to the album.

Potrait – Mid-Tempo song where Aday paints a portrait of himself.

If you appreciate wordplay, and music from an artist bearing his soul SubRosa is a stand out album with promise for 2019.  A must peep!!!!

"My motivation was continuing my roses legacy.
The roses are symbolic of my addictions and faults and the things I love in life" - Aday

We are Band Nerds" represent the essence of music and the universal language - diversity. They transcend race, music genres and they know no boundaries.  Today In a world that is so black and white, right and left,  and so fractured to see a band like "We are Band Nerds" is very much needed and refreshing.  The band is a much needed reboot to the Hip Hop/Rock genre and challenge the genre as a whole musically and lyrically.  You would be sadly mistaken if you quickly put them in a box with Limp Biscuit, Rage Against The Machine, or Lincoln Park.   In their music you can hear multiple influences from Kendrick Lamar, Andre 3000 lyrically, as well as Rage Against The Machine, Hard Rock, Grunge,  elements of world music, jazz, blues all fusioned in their music (which is a perfect representation of the members of the band).   Below is the audio of the interview with these guys.....if you weren't fans before this interview I guarantee you will afterwards.
